Lady Blues Blitz Spectres

The Globalgreen Lady Blues faced a Nunawading Spectres outfit with determination and confidence on Sunday, and this allowed Frankstron to stay in control the entire first half.  The Lady Blues took a 40-31 halftime lead into the locker room.

After a see-sawing first half of action, the Lady Blues cranked up their defence and continued to move the ball well, frustrating the Nunawading defence, where they racked up foul after foul.

Frankston's offence was in fine form with all players scoring and the team shooting 43% from the field, 38% on 3 pointers and 71% at the foul line. The Lady Blues scored their biggest victory of the season, 90-59.

Coach Mel Nixon was very pleased with the team's effort and lauded the contributions of her more experienced players on the day.

The Globalgreen Lady Blues have the long weekend off and resume back in play on Saturday 19th of June away at Ballarat and Sunday 20th at home v. Sandringham Sabres at 12:00 pm.
