Academy Overview

The Frankston Basketball Regional Academy encompasses a range of programs for players of all levels of skill and experience.

Programs are designed for grassroots, intermediate & elite athletes with a focus on small group sessions aimed at fast-tracking a player or coach's development.

With a broad range of coaching expertise lead by Frankston Basketball's Development officer Steve Blackley and coaching panel with with SEABL, VJBL, NCAA (US Collegiate) experience, the Frankston Basketball Academy is open to domestic & representative players across the Peninsula Region.

Grassroots (Beginners)

Intro to Basketball Intro to Basketball is an introduction to the game of Basketball catering for five to ten year old beginners.

Domestic Academy - Great for kids aspiring to become representative players and becoming better domestic players

Elite Team Trainings - Specifically designed for junior domestic teams to receive specialist on training with SEABL players. Coaches learn new drills and skills and teaching points.


High Performance

We currently have no camps running in this space. 

Ausse Elite AAU - An Australian based AAU club run out of Frankston Basketball Regional Academy. Aussie Elite's ethos is to deliver a cost-effective AAU experience that is underpinned by High Performance best-practice; a professional apporach to atlete welfare in the lead up to and while on tour; and Aussie Elites connectivity to the approprate level of collegiate coaches who are recruiting the type of the althlete Aussie Elite has on its roster


School Holiday Camps

Slam Dunk Camp - Targeted at primary school players looking for a fun and enjoyable time with children their own age, while also helping to develop fundamental basketball skills. 

Elite Rep Trainings - Targeted at current VJBL Representative player. These sessions are coaches by current SEABL, Big V and VJBL Players and Coaches.


Coaches Resources

Coaches Corner - New to FBRA this is a where instructional videos and links will be provided to coaches, especially at a junior domestic level, to aid development of both players and coaches.


In-School Programs

Secondary College Programs - We also offer our Regional Acadamey programs to school interested in a visit from Frankston Basketball
